Open a Wiśniowski garage door with your phone: SOLO + KIT

Phone with the 1Control app in front of an anthracite garage door: open a Wiśniowski garage door with your phone

In short: there are two ways to open a Wiśniowski garage door with your phone. The first is the manufacturer's, which it calls smartCONNECTED: the Wiśniowski Connected app for products with the smart module already built in, such as garage doors with the SPARK operator, and Somfy's TaHoma switch hub for io-homecontrol operators. The second works with any Wiśniowski operator, old ones included: 1Control SOLO + KIT. The two Wiśniowski remotes in the compatibility checker, LUNAR and PULSAR, do not copy, so 1Control SOLO copies the remote of the SOLO KIT instead, a receiver that a technician connects to the operator, and opens the garage from the 1Control app over Bluetooth, with no internet in the garage.

Wiśniowski is a Polish manufacturer of garage doors, gates, fences and front doors. The facts about the apps come from Wiśniowski's website and the App Store and Google Play listings (25/10/2026); the facts about the remotes come from the 1Control checker. The basics for every brand are in smart garage door opener without Wi-Fi.

Wiśniowski Connected / smartCONNECTED or SOLO + KIT

Wiśniowski groups its smart home offer under the name smartCONNECTED, with two solutions. The first is Wiśniowski Connected: according to the manufacturer, Connected products have a built-in smart module and use Wi-Fi rather than radio; you buy the product, scan the QR code on the label and install the app, which is free on the App Store and Google Play. Among the compatible products Wiśniowski lists the UniPro, UniTherm and PRIME sectional doors and the up-and-over doors with the SPARK operator, sliding gates with the AWso 2025 Pro or Pro Fast operator and front doors with the Connected electric lock. From the app, again according to Wiśniowski, you open and close from anywhere, share access with trusted users and control the door from the car with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The second solution is Somfy's TaHoma switch, which Wiśniowski recommends to people who already have io-homecontrol or ZigBee 3.0 devices at home: the compatible products include doors with the MOTO io or METRO Smart io operators. The app stores also carry an earlier app, WIŚNIOWSKI smartCONNECTED, which according to its listing works with the smartCONNECTED Box hub and with io-homecontrol devices.

Wiśniowski's solutions start from the product: a Connected door or operator, or an io operator with Somfy's hub. SOLO + KIT depends on neither model nor year: the KIT receiver also connects to older Wiśniowski operators, and the same 1Control app can hold a gate of another brand as well. SOLO opens over Bluetooth, with no Wi-Fi in the garage; family and guests get free access on their phone number, with time slots and an expiry date if needed.

Why a Wiśniowski remote does not copy

With many brands you simply copy the remote onto SOLO; with Wiśniowski you cannot. The compatibility checker lists two Wiśniowski remotes, LUNAR and PULSAR, both on 433 MHz with a rolling code: a coding that SOLO does not copy. So we do not promise you a copy: the route to your phone goes through the KIT.

LUNAR433 MHz, rolling codeDoes not copy: SOLO + KITAn original Wiśniowski remote on the same radio system
PULSAR433 MHz, rolling codeDoes not copy: SOLO + KITAn original Wiśniowski remote on the same radio system
Other Wiśniowski remotes, not listed (for example PULSAR io or the remotes of SPARK operators)Depends on the modelNot listed: SOLO + KITAn original Wiśniowski remote that suits the operator

The model is printed on the back of the remote or in the battery compartment; a model that is not on the list does not copy. Check yours in the checker under Wiśniowski. If you only need an extra remote, you do not need 1Control: an original Wiśniowski remote on the same radio system, stored on the operator as its manual explains, is enough.

SOLO + KIT: your Wiśniowski garage on your phone

The SOLO KIT is not SOLO: it is a 433 MHz receiver with its own fixed-code remote, which SOLO always copies. A technician connects the receiver to the garage door operator; from then on the KIT remote moves the door, and SOLO copies that one instead of the LUNAR or PULSAR. The KIT does not depend on the operator's radio, so it also suits older Wiśniowski operators or ones on a different radio system, and your original remotes keep working.

  1. Have a technician connect the KIT receiver to the operator, or do it yourself if you are comfortable with electrical work; the KIT remote should now move the door.
  2. Mount SOLO near the door. It is not wired to the operator or to the mains: two C batteries last about two years at around ten openings a day.
  3. In the 1Control app, hold the KIT remote against the notch on the left side of SOLO and follow the instructions.
  4. Wait until the door is fully closed, then tap the round test button: if the door starts, the copy is done.

If you cannot connect anything to the operator, for example in a rented garage without the owner's consent, SOLO is not the right fit. A standard SOLO handles up to 4 automations, even of different brands, for 10 users; the app history shows who opened and when.

Remootio, ismartgate or SOLO + KIT

You will also come across modules from other makers. Remootio, which has a page on Wiśniowski gates and garage doors, and ismartgate are smart openers wired to the push-button input of the operator and run on their maker's app, usually over your home Wi-Fi. A GSM module takes a SIM card, is wired the same way and opens when an authorised number calls (see the GSM gate opener guide). They fit almost any operator, but they need signal in the garage, which underground car parks often lack; SOLO + KIT opens over Bluetooth even there and brings an extra remote with it.

Your Wiśniowski garage from afar, by voice and from the car

On its own, SOLO works over Bluetooth within 15-20 metres: it needs no network, even in an underground garage, but it will not open from the office. To open from afar you add 1Control LINK: the hub stays at home, connects to the internet over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi or Ethernet and passes commands to SOLO over Bluetooth, within about 25 metres in a straight line. LINK brings Alexa, Google Home, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto; Siri Shortcuts already work with SOLO within Bluetooth range and, with LINK, from afar too. SOLO AUTO, the version to keep in the car, shows up on CarPlay and Android Auto without LINK (see open your gate with CarPlay). All of this works with the KIT too.
