In short: with an Einhell garage door opener, the route to your phone does not go through the remote. Six of the seven Einhell remotes in the 1Control compatibility checker are quartz remotes on 27 MHz: the F1024-1, F2000-1, H126, H126 D, H426 and H626 cannot be copied. Only the HS433, on 433 MHz, is on the list. So with Einhell the way to open the garage door from your phone is 1Control SOLO + KIT: the SOLO KIT receiver, with its own remote, is connected to the opener by a technician; 1Control SOLO copies that remote and opens the door from the 1Control app over Bluetooth, with no internet needed in the garage.
Einhell garage door openers have been around for years: the manuals of the BGT 63 and the TAG 83, for example, are still online in several languages, English included. Do not confuse them with Einhell Connect: according to Einhell, that app is for its FREELEXO robot lawn mowers and the GE-AW 1144 SMART garden pump, and Einhell's page on it does not mention garage door openers. The remote data come from the 1Control checker, the Einhell details from Einhell's pages and the manuals (checked on 25/10/2026). For every other brand, see smart garage door opener without Wi-Fi.
Einhell remotes in the compatibility checker
The checker lists 7 Einhell remotes. SOLO copies one, the HS433; the other six are quartz remotes on 27 MHz, a frequency band SOLO does not copy. The limit is physical, not a question of coding: no universal 433 or 868 MHz remote copies them either. For the quartz generation there is 1Control QZERO, which copies quartz remotes from 15 to 50 MHz: it gives you a spare remote, not the phone.
| Einhell remote | Frequency and coding | With 1Control (phone) | For an extra remote |
|---|---|---|---|
| HS433 | 433.92 MHz, fixed code | Copies: SOLO on its own, nothing connected to the opener | 1Control WHY copies it |
| F1024-1 | 27.015 MHz, fixed code, quartz | Quartz, cannot be copied: SOLO + KIT | 1Control QZERO, once the model is checked |
| F2000-1, H126, H126 D, H426, H626 | 26.995 MHz, fixed code, quartz | Quartz, cannot be copied: SOLO + KIT | 1Control QZERO, once the model is checked |
| Other Einhell remotes, not listed | — | Not listed: SOLO + KIT | Depends on the opener |

The model is printed on the back of the remote or in the battery compartment, and the final word belongs to the checker under Einhell for your exact model: a remote that is not on the list does not copy, and the route is SOLO + KIT.

Remote not copyable? SOLO + KIT makes any gate smart
SOLO KIT wires to the push-button input of the motor and works with any automation: SOLO then opens from your phone even when the original remote cannot be copied. One-off purchase, no subscription.

Einhell garage door opener and phone: the 3 options side by side
| Solution | What you need | Installation | Internet needed? | Limits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1Control SOLO on its own | A working Einhell HS433 and the 1Control app | Copy in the app; SOLO runs on batteries near the door | Not to open (Bluetooth); yes from afar, with the LINK hub | Only the HS433: the 27 MHz remotes cannot be copied |
| 1Control SOLO + KIT | SOLO, the SOLO KIT and the 1Control app | A technician connects the KIT receiver to the opener; SOLO near the door | Not to open (Bluetooth); yes from afar, with LINK | Bluetooth range 15-20 m without LINK; the KIT has to be connected to the opener |
| Wi-Fi or GSM module from another brand | The module, a power supply, Wi-Fi or mobile signal in the garage | Wired into the opener | Wi-Fi: almost always; GSM: mobile network | Work on the opener; a different app for each maker |
With a working HS433, SOLO is enough. With any of the six quartz remotes, or a remote that is not on the list, both SOLO + KIT and a smart module mean connecting something to the opener once: the difference is what you need afterwards, Bluetooth or a network in the garage.
SOLO + KIT: every Einhell opener on your phone
The SOLO KIT is not SOLO: it is a 433 MHz receiver with its own fixed-code remote, which SOLO always copies. A technician connects the receiver to the control unit of the garage door opener; from then on the KIT remote moves the door, and SOLO copies that one instead of the Einhell remote. The KIT does not depend on the opener's radio, so it also suits the oldest Einhell units, and your Einhell remotes keep working as before.
- Have a technician connect the KIT receiver to the opener, or do it yourself if you are comfortable with electrical work; the KIT remote should now move the door.
- Mount SOLO near the door. It is not wired to the opener or to the mains: two C batteries last about two years at around ten openings a day.
- In the 1Control app, hold the KIT remote against the notch on the left side of SOLO and follow the instructions.
- Wait until the door is fully closed, then tap the round test button: if the door starts, the copy is done.
If you cannot connect anything to the opener and your remote is not the HS433, SOLO is not the right fit for this garage. A standard SOLO handles up to 4 automations, even of different brands, for 10 users; the app history shows who opened and when.
When SOLO alone is enough: the HS433
Only with the HS433: hold the working remote, with a fresh battery, against the notch on SOLO, press its button until the app tells you to release it, then run the test with the door closed. A lost or broken remote cannot be copied by anyone: then, too, the route is the KIT.
Wi-Fi modules, GSM modules or SOLO + KIT
Most guides on this topic suggest a smart module. A Wi-Fi module or relay, from brands such as Shelly, ismartgate or Remootio, is wired into the opener and works with its maker's app over the home Wi-Fi; a GSM module takes a SIM card, is wired the same way and opens when an authorised number calls (see the GSM gate opener guide). With an Einhell opener they are a fair alternative, because the KIT also means connecting something to the opener. The difference comes afterwards: a module needs a stable network in the garage, which underground garages often lack, while SOLO + KIT opens over Bluetooth, and family and guests get free access on their phone number, with time slots and an expiry date if needed.
Your Einhell garage from afar, by voice and from the car
On its own, SOLO works over Bluetooth within 15-20 metres: it needs no network, even in an underground garage, but it will not open from the office. To open from afar you add 1Control LINK: the hub stays at home, connects to the internet over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi or Ethernet and passes commands to SOLO over Bluetooth, within about 25 metres in a straight line. LINK brings Alexa, Google Home, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto; Siri Shortcuts already work with SOLO within Bluetooth range and, with LINK, from afar too. SOLO AUTO, the version to keep in the car, shows up on CarPlay and Android Auto without LINK (see open your gate with CarPlay). All of this works with the KIT too.
FAQ: Einhell garage door openers and your phone
Can I open my Einhell garage door opener with my phone?
Yes, with 1Control SOLO + KIT: a technician connects the KIT receiver to the opener, SOLO copies the KIT remote and opens the door from the 1Control app over Bluetooth. With the HS433 remote, SOLO alone is enough, without the KIT.
Can an Einhell garage remote be copied?
The HS433, on 433 MHz, yes. The F1024-1, F2000-1, H126, H126 D, H426 and H626 are quartz remotes on 27 MHz and cannot be copied, either to SOLO or to a 433 or 868 MHz universal remote. For a spare remote of that generation there is 1Control QZERO, once the model is checked.
Is there an Einhell app for the garage door opener?
Not that Einhell describes. According to Einhell, the Einhell Connect app controls its FREELEXO robot lawn mowers and the GE-AW 1144 SMART garden pump; its page does not mention garage door openers. To open an Einhell garage door from your phone, the route is SOLO + KIT with the 1Control app.
Can I open my Einhell garage when I am away from home?
Yes, with the LINK hub: it stays at home, connects to the internet over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi or Ethernet and passes the command to SOLO over Bluetooth. Without LINK, SOLO only opens from nearby, within 15-20 metres.
In short: SOLO + KIT for your Einhell garage door opener
With an Einhell garage door opener and a 27 MHz remote, the door does not reach your phone through the remote but through the opener: open the garage door with your phone using 1Control SOLO with the KIT, connected once by a technician, then Bluetooth instead of the remote, free access for the family and, with LINK, distance, voice and the car. The old remote stays in the drawer and keeps working. The HS433 is the one exception, where SOLO alone is enough. For sectional and up-and-over doors of every brand, see the garage door app guide.
