Troubleshooting CarPlay opening issues with SOLO AUTO

Updated on 18/12/2025

If you experience difficulties opening automations via Apple CarPlay using the SOLO AUTO device, it is recommended to perform the following checks and procedures to restore correct operation.

1. Check position and connection

Since SOLO AUTO communicates directly via Bluetooth, it is essential to be physically close to the device (within Bluetooth range) when sending the command.

At the same time, ensure the iPhone is correctly connected to the car's infotainment system (wired or wireless).

2. 1Control App Update

Verify that the 1Control application is updated to the latest version available on the App Store.

You must have version 2.5.6 or later, as it includes specific fixes to improve stability and performance with CarPlay.

3. Deactivation of Low Power Mode

It is recommended to disable the "Low Power Mode" option on iPhone.

This mode, if active, drastically limits background activities and Bluetooth performance, interrupting essential communication between the phone and the CarPlay system.

4. Background App Management

For correct operation, the 1Control app must remain active in the background and must never be force closed (i.e., "killed" by swiping the app window up).

It is also recommended to check system settings:

  • Go to iPhone Settings > General > Background App Refresh.

  • Ensure that the 1Control app is enabled (selected) to stay active.

5. Date Reset (Technical Procedure)

If the problem persists, it is useful to resynchronize the device's internal date. Follow this path in the 1Control App:

  1. Open App Settings (gear icon).

  2. Select "Manage your devices".

  3. Select the SOLO AUTO device.

  4. Press "Other options".

  5. Select "Reset date".
